Updates from Arena Shawn Watercolor Studio

"Spring Breeze IV" is juried into Pacific Art League's "Breath of Spring" National Juried Exhibition. Pacific Art League of Palo Alto hosts a national juried show almost every month, and each spring it always host a garden/flower themed show. The opening reception is actually tonight from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. There are many magnificent pieces of glorious spring colors (not really a surprise give the theme...) from artists around the bay area (and some from afar as well). If you live in the south bay area, this is a fine option for a casual Friday night outing!

A couple of my smaller paintings (including this magnolia piece) is shown in the Cinema Place Gallery of Hayward for the month of April for their "Spring" themed show. This is a lovely gallery with glass windows all around and ample sky light to view artworks. If you walk on the most busy street of Hayward, it is almost impossible to miss this gallery, as it is right by the Cinema and across the street from a couple of fine dining options! The show is hosted by Hayward Arts Council and the reception is tonight as well from 5:00 to 7:00pm. If you are in the southern part of east bay, consider a movie with free art show/wine & cheese session for the night's out...
